Paperwork in order before the crew arrives.

Welder qualifications, procedures, safety file and insurance — issued with the quotation, not produced after somebody asks for them.

01 · Qualification

Welder qualification

Welders are qualified to the process, position and material they are put on. Nobody is put on a coded joint on the strength of being good at the last one.

Qualification held — by process

Verification

Current certificates — with welder name, qualification range and expiry date — are attached to every quotation involving coded work. If a certificate lapses mid-contract, that welder comes off the joint until it is re-tested.

02 · Quality

Quality system

Welding quality requirements to ISO 3834-2, applied as a working routine rather than a folder that stays in the office.

Before welding

  • Drawing and specification reviewed against capability
  • Procedure selected and agreed for each joint type
  • Welder qualification checked against the procedure
  • Material identified, marked and traceable to the job
  • Fit-up, root gap and cleanliness checked

After welding

  • 100% visual inspection against the procedure
  • Dimensional check against the drawing
  • Non-conformances cut out and re-run, then re-inspected
  • Third-party NDT coordinated where specified
  • Records issued with the job at handover

03 · Safety

Safety on site

Hot work in a live plant is the highest-risk thing we do. It gets planned, permitted and watched — every time, on every site, including the small jobs.

Our safety file goes out with the quotation so your HSE department can review it before an order is placed rather than on the morning the crew arrives at the gate. Where your site has its own induction, permit or contractor system, we work to yours.

Safety file contents

  • Company HSE policy and organogram
  • Risk assessments per scope of work
  • Method statements, job specific
  • Hot work and confined space procedures
  • PPE register and issue records
  • Equipment inspection and calibration records
  • Insurance certificates and registrations

On the job

  • Permit obtained before any hot work starts
  • Fire watch posted and extinguishers positioned
  • Screens up, extraction where the space demands it
  • Toolbox talk at the start of every shift
  • Lifting gear inspected and certificated
  • Site left clean, off-cuts and consumables removed

05 · Company

Registrations & cover

Company registration, tax status, local content registration and insurance — the four things a procurement department asks for before a purchase order is raised.

  • Insurance and registration certificates

At handover

Pre-qualification

If you run a vendor pre-qualification process, send the pack through and we will complete it. We would rather spend an afternoon on your forms than turn up on site with the wrong paperwork.

Send the drawing. We will price it inside 48 hours.

Or send measurements and what the job has to carry — we will do the take-off ourselves.
